Welcome to scrantonradon.com, operated by Scranton Radon ("we," "us," or "our"). By using this website, submitting our callback request form, or calling the number listed on this site, you agree to these Terms of Service.
Scranton Radon is a referral service. We connect homeowners and homebuyers with independently owned radon testing and mitigation providers. We are not a radon testing or mitigation company, we do not employ technicians, and we do not perform any testing, mitigation, or construction work. All testing, inspections, quotes, and installations are provided by independent providers who are solely responsible for the services they deliver.
In Pennsylvania, radon testing and mitigation must be performed by individuals and firms certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). Before hiring any provider, we encourage you to confirm their current DEP certification, ask about insurance, and get a written contract or estimate that describes the work, price, and any warranty. You can verify certification through the PA DEP Bureau of Radiation Protection.
We primarily serve homes in Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties, Pennsylvania. Availability depends on the schedules and service areas of independent providers, and we cannot guarantee that a provider will be available for every request or deadline, including real estate closing dates.
Cost ranges, timelines, and typical radon reduction figures on this website are general estimates for informational purposes only. They are not a quote or a guarantee of results. Actual prices, scheduling, test results, system performance, warranties, and cancellation policies are set by the provider who performs the work. Please confirm all of these details in writing with your provider before work begins.
The information on this website, including information about radon levels and health risks, is for general educational purposes only. It is not medical, legal, or professional advice. If you have health concerns related to radon exposure, please consult a medical professional. For questions about real estate disclosure requirements, consult your real estate agent or attorney.
This website and our referral service are provided "as is." Because all testing and mitigation is performed by independent providers, we are not responsible for the quality, accuracy, timeliness, cost, outcome, or conduct of any provider's work. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scranton Radon is not liable for any damages arising from your use of this website or from services provided by independent providers.
