Scranton Radon ("we," "us," or "our") operates scrantonradon.com. We are a referral service that connects homeowners and homebuyers in Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties, Pennsylvania, with independently owned, PA DEP-certified radon testing and mitigation providers. We do not perform radon testing or mitigation ourselves. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and who we share it with.
Information you give us. When you fill out our callback request form, we collect the details you enter, such as your name, phone number, email address, town, the service you need, and any notes you add. If you call us, we may also note your name, phone number, and the details of your request.
Information collected automatically. When you submit a form, our server may record technical information such as your IP address and the date and time, to help prevent spam and keep a record of your request. This website also uses Google Analytics, which collects information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the type of device and browser you use, and your approximate location. See Section 4 for details.
We use the information we collect to:
Because we are a referral service, we share the information you submit with the independent radon provider who serves your area, so they can contact you, schedule testing or an inspection, and provide a quote. That provider handles your information under their own privacy practices.
We may also share information with companies that help us run this website, such as our web hosting, email, and phone service providers, and when required by law.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our website. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect usage information, which Google processes on our behalf. You can learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
We keep form submissions only as long as needed to respond to your request, connect you with a provider, and maintain basic business records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time. Radon test reports, quotes, and job records are created and kept by the provider who works with you, under their own policies.
We use reasonable measures to protect the information you submit, including restricting access to our stored records. No website or method of transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by contacting us using the information below.
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
